1WALK in LOVE MINISTRIES:

This project is for everyone in Gods family and to bring others to Christ by the sharing of God's Love. We are not asking people to sign up for a committee , we are only asking the body of Christ to share their gifts with each other. If a part of the body has a need, no matter how small or how large, we will find a way to meet that need with prayer, works, and faith. God gave us all abilities, talents & gifts, we want the body of Christ here at Kittiwake to use them for the Glory of God.

Each Sunday School Class will have a representative to share with the class the forms and communicate what Walk in Love is all about. A Captain and a Co-Captain will keep and correlate the forms in order to match the skills with the needs. All personal information will be kept private.

This project is also a ways of enhancing other ministries already in place at Kittiwake Baptist, such as the Food Pantry. Example: Someone has an abundance of fruit and vegetables in their garden. We can harvest these food items for the Food Pantry. We can provide transportation of delivery to shut-ins. The building of this project will take time. Kittiwake is one body in Christ through love, prayer, and faith. For more information or if you want to be a part of this team please contact: Wanda Hase or Kathi Dominguez.

1AUDIO, VISUAL, and WEBSITE:

This team enhances the worship experience through sound and visual means and is responsible for the website. The sound system has been totally upgraded with Yamaha amps, speakers, and LS9-32 Digital Mixer, the choir mics, monitors, DSP, and a new sound booth.

The computer was just upgraded, giving us more detailed visuals on the screen. The projector was just restored to maximum performance. Our website has been recently reformatted, making it much easier to navigate.

All of this to say that our equipment is "State of the Art", but none of it runs itself. It takes dedicated people, it takes time, and always searching for new ideas, video clips, and profound and subtle ways to enhance the worship experience for all. If you would like to be a part of this team please contact one of the following people: Les Groom, Jeff Jones, Doug Sholly, or John DeLoatch.

1MUSIC MINISTRIES: Information about our music ministry is coming soon.

1YOUTH MINISTRIES:

The Kittiwake Baptist Church youth group is known as ONE. The name comes from Ephesians:

Ephesians 4:1-6 NIV
"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

It is our goal to build unity in the body of Christ through teaching God’s word and the principles contained in it. We meet several times weekly for fellowship and Bible study.

Sunday School                    Sunday 9:45am
Evening Bible Study             Sunday 6:00pm
Youth Worship                    Wednesday 6:45pm

For more information call 665-1671. Come join us and find a place to fit in.

1PRAYER MINISTRIES: The goal of the prayer ministry is for Kittiwake Baptist Church to be a House of Prayer. The defining characteristic is that Gods very presence would swell among His people in a love relationship through prayer.

Prayer Shawl Ministry-Beautiful shawls are given to the bereaved.

Hedge Prayer Ministry-A gathering to pray every Sunday for our pastor.

Prayer Gram Ministry-Notes of prayer sent out in times of need.

Wall of Prayer- A group of people who commit to pray one hour a week for the ministry of Kittiwake Baptist Church.

Prayerwalking is the intentional coordinated effort to pray for and share Jesus with every person in a chosen geographical area or cultural community. You can participate in this special movement of God’s sprit. Prayerwalkers meet at the church every Tuesday at 10:00 am. These prayer warriors spend hours in the “intercessory prayer room” interceding for fellow believers and the lost.

1FOOD PANTRY: Our food pantry is open the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to noon. This ministry exists to support the needs of the community and surrounding area, by providing nourishment of the body through food, and nourishment of the soul through prayer and the love of each and every volunteer that gives of their time to fill those needs. All who come are welcome and all are greeted with a loving smile and the love of those of Kittiwake Baptist Church

In 2006 we were able to give out 205 boxes of food totaling 7,041 pounds, in 2007 we gave out 262 boxes of food totaling 9,602 pounds. Last year we gave out 476 boxes totaling 18,964 pounds! In the first two months of this year we have given out 86 boxes totaling 3,466 pounds. We are on our way of beating last years record and the economy is not getting any better...

1LOAVES of LOVE: The Loaves of Love Ministry began in November 2004 and it is an outreach for our first time visitors to Kittiwake Baptist Church and newcomers in the area. We want to sincerely thank those who are involved in this outreach, and for your passion and willingness to serve in sharing God’s love with our community.

If you have an interest in becoming a part of this ministry, please contact Les or Cindy Groom.

1CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES: What a privilege it is to spend valuable time with our future-the children of our community. We firmly believe that the love of God can be shared with children from the day they are born.

We strive to provide a loving environment for children to grow and blossom. Our teachings are based solely on the Bible, our textbook. The children are the students and teachers are merely the guides. Parents are the primary teachers of our future. By working together we can instill values and a sense of worth in our children. And, most importantly, a lifelong, loving relationship with The One, True God.

We are proud of our children's ministry and the loving, dedicated individuals who volunteer faithfully.

1MEN'S BROTHERHOOD: It is the mission of the Kittiwake Baptist Church Brotherhood Ministry to promote, encourage, and spiritually strengthen men of Christ and those needing spiritual guidance through Christian fellowship, awareness of moral family values, and the commitment of service to the church and the community.

It is the motivation of this ministry to lead men and young male adults to the development and adaptation of a strong Christian mentality that will better equip them with the tools necessary to live productive spiritual lives. It is in this vein that the Brotherhood Ministry was initiated and, through the leadership of God Almighty, the teachings of His son Jesus Christ, and the Power of the Holy Ghost, that this ministry shall grow and prosper.

The Brotherhood is open to all men of the church age 16 and above. The ministry meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Building.
