Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

AUDIO, VISUAL, and WEBSITE:

This team enhances the worship experience through sound and visual means and is responsible for the website. The sound system has been totally upgraded with Yamaha amps, speakers, and LS9-32 Digital Mixer, the choir mics, monitors, DSP, and a new sound booth.

The computer was just upgraded, giving us more detailed visuals on the screen. The projector was just restored to maximum performance. Our website has been recently reformatted, making it much easier to navigate.

All of this to say that our equipment is “State of the Art”, but none of it runs itself. It takes dedicated people, it takes time, and always searching for new ideas, video clips, and profound and subtle ways to enhance the worship experience for all. If you would like to be a part of this team please contact one of the following people: Les Groom, Jeff Jones, Fred Brandt, or John Deloatch.

MUSIC MINISTRIES:

Information about our music ministry is coming soon.

YOUTH MINISTRIES:

The Kittiwake Baptist Church youth group is known as ONE. The name comes from Ephesians:

Ephesians 4:1-6 NIV
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

It is our goal to build unity in the body of Christ through teaching God’s word and the principles contained in it. We meet several times weekly for fellowship and Bible study.

Sunday School                    Sunday 9:45am
Evening Bible Study             Sunday 6:00pm
Youth Worship                    Wednesday 6:45pm

PRAYER MINISTRIES:

The goal of the prayer ministry is for Kittiwake Baptist Church to be a House of Prayer. The defining characteristic is that Gods very presence would swell among His people in a love relationship through prayer.

Prayer Shawl Ministry-Beautiful shawls are given to the bereaved.

Hedge Prayer Ministry-A gathering to pray every Sunday for our pastor.

Prayer Gram Ministry-Notes of prayer sent out in times of need.

Wall of Prayer- A group of people who commit to pray one hour a week for the ministry of Kittiwake Baptist Church.

Prayerwalking is the intentional coordinated effort to pray for and share Jesus with every person in a chosen geographical area or cultural community. You can participate in this special movement of God’s sprit. Prayerwalkers meet at the church every Tuesday at 10:00 am. These prayer warriors spend hours in the “intercessory prayer room” interceding for fellow believers and the lost.

FOOD PANTRY:

Our food pantry is open the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to noon. This ministry exists to support the needs of the community and surrounding area, by providing nourishment of the body through food, and nourishment of the soul through prayer and the love of each and every volunteer that gives of their time to fill those needs. All who come are welcome and all are greeted with a loving smile and the love of those of Kittiwake Baptist Church.

MEN’S BROTHERHOOD:

It is the mission of the Kittiwake Baptist Church Brotherhood Ministry to promote, encourage, and spiritually strengthen men of Christ and those needing spiritual guidance through Christian fellowship, awareness of moral family values, and the commitment of service to the church and the community.

It is the motivation of this ministry to lead men and young male adults to the development and adaptation of a strong Christian mentality that will better equip them with the tools necessary to live productive spiritual lives. It is in this vein that the Brotherhood Ministry was initiated and, through the leadership of God Almighty, the teachings of His son Jesus Christ, and the Power of the Holy Ghost, that this ministry shall grow and prosper.

The Brotherhood is open to all men of the church age 16 and above. The ministry meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Building.
